Volunteer Teachers are being recruited.
BaySail, home of the Appledore Tall Ships, is now recruiting
volunteer teachers for our 2013 program season.
Outgoing individuals with a
flair for teaching and a spirit of adventure are sought to help us teach our half day shipboard Science
Under Sail program to K-12 school groups.
Volunteers will be teaching directly on
board the schooner and will be asked to undergo shipboard training in both
teaching and marine safety. This is a great opportunity for retired educators. Read about our volunteer opportunities here.
BaySail is a private non-profit
organization dedicated to promoting environmental stewardship of the Saginaw
Bay and the Great Lakes through engaging shipboard experiences aboard our two
schooners. Our programs include science education for K-12 school groups,
overnight voyaging for youth and adults, public sails, charters, group tours,
and port visits.
