SUPERMAN, BATMAN VISIT Bay Area Chamber of Commerce 130th Annual Meeting

March 23, 2013
By: Dave Rogers

Chris Girard, as Superman, and Mike Stodolak, as Batman, stole the show Thursday night.

The mythological pair took the podium at the Doubletree Hotel to welcome another capacity crowd to a chamber event in high style.

Chamber President Mike Seward capped the rousing evening with an apt comment: "This is literally the place to be -- Bay City, Michigan!"

Mr. Seward was his usual ebullient self, tossing out his signature "YOUR Bay Area Chamber of Commerce" wherever appropriate.

He lauded those in the room as "business leaders for taking active leadership roles."

The chamber event was keynoted by Chair Pat O'Brien who gave his heartfelt recollection of following his father's footsteps in business here, and, though he didn't give voice to it, making a terrific success internationally with the high tech manufacturing firm EMCOR, Inc.

"I'm so glad that I decided to come back to Bay City," said the outgoing chair.
