Saturday, April 20

The Kiwanis Club of Bay City is pleased to announce its third annual Eagle-By-the-Bay 5K run/walk on Saturday, April 20. Staged at Finn Road Park in Essexville, MI, the course will feature the Hampton Township trail system, a scenic natural setting to coincide with the annual celebrations of Earth Day and Arbor Day.

As an environmentally-conscious race, we will celebrate the outdoors, while raising funds to support children's programs in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

This year, Kiwanis will share half of the proceeds with Imagination Library program in Bay-Arenac, Midland and Saginaw Counties. Each runner/walker will receive a t-shirt and seedling tree for their participation.

Buffalo Wild Wings will be on hand with their street team and mascot for the morning. They'll be providing Blazin' Performers gift certificates (6 free boneless wings) and hosting a raffle for additional prizes.

An awards ceremony will immediately follow the race with winners in various age categories. On-site registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race starts at 9:00 a.m. Registration fee is $20.00 per runner/walker. If you want to avoid the race day registration line, you may register online through April 18.

For online registration, directions and a course map, please visit http://baycitykiwanis.wordpress.com. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, though the adult is not required to register.
