Business and community leaders representing the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce will travel to Lansing May 14th and 15th to lobby for a variety of issues designed to help improve the Bay Area.
As an organization dedicated to improving the economic climate and business environment of Bay City and Bay County, your Bay Area Chamber of Commerce encourages its membership to become actively involved in its State Capitol Visit to Lansing.
Special teams, representing a cross-section of area businesses, community organizations and representatives of local government and education, lobby for issues of importance to the Bay Area. These teams lead our efforts to bring those issues to the attention of the Governor's office, members of the Michigan legislature and top administrative officials within state government.
Issue areas to be covered during the State Capitol Visit are:
* Business Regulation/Environmental/Agribusiness
* Economic & Community Development
* Education
* Health Services
Special thanks to Senator Mike Green, Representative Charles Brunner and Representative Jim Stamas for their assistance with this program.
