Downtown Bay City Sidewalk Days Event is July 7, 8, 9

2005 event will have a nautical theme - 'Sail Into Sidewalk Days!'

Organizers anticipate over 750 street cruisers, Mustangs, hot rods, Corvettes, antiques, customs & motorcycles to be on hand for the 6th Annual Be Cool Car Show.
 
Roger Rosebush of Be Cool, Inc. has organized the 6th Annual Be Cool Car Show



The tradition continues with the Annual Sidewalk Days in Downtown Bay City. The streets of Downtown Bay City will come alive with sales, specials and activities during this three-day event.

Hours are 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

This year's event will have a nautical theme "Sail Into Sidewalk Days!"

Activities scheduled for July 7th and 8th include: Lucy & Jo Jo the Clown, Tom Bartholomew - Comedy Juggler and The Guys - Music Group.

Also, the Be Cool Car Show returns this year on Saturday, July 9, filling the streets with over 750 vehicles and special attractions to entertain the whole family. All special activities are FREE!

Thursday and Friday, July 7th & 8th

The whole family will enjoy the special activities and entertainment scheduled during these two days. Lucy and Jo Jo the Clown will be teaching "How to be a Clown" and performing pocket magic, balloon sculptures and short comedy skits. Performances are scheduled for noon and 2:30 p.m. at Center and Washington Avenues. Between performances Lucy and Jo Jo will be strolling throughout Downtown and "sailing" into businesses to "assist" you with your shopping!!!

"Learn how to Juggle" with Tom Bartholomew, comedy juggler, who will amaze everyone with his juggling feats at the corner of Saginaw Street and Center Avenue. He will entertain one and all withball, ring and club juggling and juggling lessons. Scheduled performances are at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.

Relax and enjoy the sounds of "The Guys", Music Group at the corner of Water and Third Streets. The Guys will be performing at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 9th

The sales and promotions continue during the Be Cool Car Show and Festival 2005.

Once again the streets of Downtown Bay City will be lined with over 750 Street Cruisers, Mustangs, Hot Rods, Corvettes, Antique Cars, Customs and Motorcycles, July 9.

There'll be special activities all day including games, food, prices and demonstrations at the corner of Washington and Center Avenues. Many of the streets of Downtown Bay City will be closed for your strolling enjoyment.

Proceeds from the Be Cool Car Show benefit the American Cancer Society. On Sunday, July 10, the Car Show moves to Woodside Avenue, Essexville to the Be Cool Corporate Headquarters.

Downtown entertainment graciously sponsored by: Bay Regional Medical Center-Pediatrics, Chemical Bank, Saginaw Bay Underwriters, Citizens Bank, Atrium restaurant and F. P. Horak.
