Down Time

I love Sunday mornings.

Especially the ones my son is sleeping soundly in his room, the dog is napping at my feet and I am relaxing on my couch with a hot cup of coffee and a quiet house.

It is a slice of solitude and it's satisfying to look around my home and see the fruits of my labor of Saturday house cleaning. It makes me feel like a grown up who hasn't done too bad for the things I'm responsible in life.

Despite the crazy and hectic and frustrating weeks that are sure to be ahead, I can always look forward to my Sunday mornings.

It is amazing how a little down time rejuvenates and replenishes the reserves. Taking a few hours to cocoon with the family and think of nothing but the creature comforts of soft slippers, a warm beverage and a cozy home does the body and mind good.

I hope you'll find your "Sunday morning" time, you'll be happy you did.
