98KCQ's Kevin Proffit will host the CAN Council's The Brain Game Tuesday, October 29th from 7 to 10 p.m. at Frankenmuth's Bavarian Inn Lodge. Form a team of 4 or 8 players and prepare to flex your mental muscles to benefit The Can Council's Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Saginaw County.
The competition will test your pop culture, sports, music, history and geography knowledge. Trivia players will enjoy hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Register an individual trivia player for $25, half-teams of 4 people for $100, and teams of 8 for $200. Event sponsorships range from $200 to $3,000.
Funds from the Game will help CAN's CASA Program provide highly trained volunteers to serve as the voice for children in the system due to abuse or neglect. Judge Faye Harrison, who presides over Saginaw County's Family Court says "CASA" is an important part of our court's effort to help children and their families. "CASA volunteers help ensure that services are provided, that rights are protected and that children are heard. They help us see the case from the child's perspective so that the child does not get lost in the legal system."
Call Delores at (989) 752-7226 or email dgale@cancouncil.org to join the game or sponsor the event. To learn how to become a CASA volunteer, call Randy Dee Roberts, CASA Program Director, at (989) 752-7226.
