It's a new dawn, It's a new day, It's a new life,
For me
And I'm feeling good...
Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse, Songwriters

Well 2014, you're staring us in the face and asking the question, "What are you going to do to make it a great year??".

Now typically, I'm not one for resolutions as they tend to get forgotten about mid-January. But, I have decided to put some things on the list for the new year and have promised myself they WILL happen.

Although I've explored much of Florida, I've never been to Key West. I've always wanted to go to Key West. I always SAY I'm going to go to Key West, but 2014 is the year I'm really doing it.

I booked my flight to Key West.

I am pretty certain I have no artistic bones in my body, but I'm going to take painting classes. They may come out looking like something my son did in Kindergarten, but I don't care. I'm going to enjoy it anyway.

I am going to figure out a way to ride my bike with my dog on a leash.

It will make no matter if it takes me wearing a helmet, knee pads, wrist guards and basically being suited up in armor for any potential spills to do it, I'm going to find a way. Mister, "I have too much doggie energy for your leisurely walks" is going to experience being dead-dog tired from an all out run.

Pun intended.

Whatever it is you decide to challenge yourself with, treat yourself to or just enjoy in 2014, don't let it get cast aside into the corner of "I'll do it someday".

That spot accumulates dust fast and it gets hard to find things. Scheme it, plan it, DO it. Make 2014 your best year ever!

Happy New Year-and go ahead, dream big.
