HHM is proud to present the first in a series of Film Showcase events to take place in 2014 on Saturday, January 25th at 4:30 pm at Delta Planetarium located at 100 Center Ave, Bay City, MI 48708. Cost is $5.00.
"THIS IS WHERE WE LIVE" is a slice-of-life drama set in the Texas Hill Country. A struggling family's dynamics are challenged and a unique friendship is born when a small-town Texas handyman becomes caregiver to their son with cerebral palsy.
Festival Director, Alan LaFave remarked, "It's a good movie. One that a wide audience will like, plus the director/lead actor, Marc Menchaca will be here." After the showing, there will be a Q & A with Menchaca.
Later in the evening, the stage at
Bemo's Bar will heat up with the first of four Indie Showcases. Bemo's stage will once again be graced by some of the best indie bands the Mitten has to offer. Listen to the sounds of
Mistaken For Satellites from Flint, Bay City's hometown duo
YUM, Pontiac's
Sugar Baron and the
HandGrenades from Detroit.
The band's are all distinctive in their own way, but complimentary and the showcase's roster designed to effect a mixtape-style vibe.
DJ Matt Rose will be spinning between sets.
The music showcase is free.
