Together Again
The Return of Viola, Eggers and Reed A Huge Hit
Musicians Get State Theatre Crowd Rocking
March 23, 2014

The ambiance and intimate setting of Bay City's
State Theatre almost always lends itself to creating a little magic in the room when performers take the stage. Saturday, March 22, 2014 was no exception.
Bay City Native,
Andy Reed (An American Underdog), brought in friends,
Mike Viola (Candy Butchers) and
Steve Eggers (The Nines), along with drummer
Donny Brown, of Saginaw, for a joint effort show that delivered and then some.
The event, sponsored by
FinancialEdge Community Credit Union, was the second time the musicians brought their unique style to Bay City.
Playing songs from each of their collections,
'The Return Of Viola, Eggers and Reed: Together Again' the musicians brought the audience on a delightful journey.
The band obviously enjoys performing together and they produced a show that made all who attended feel privy to something special and rare that was happening.
Bringing more of a band ensemble feel to the sets this time, they still managed to draw the audience into their jokes, personal stories and kept the original, intimate integrity of the popular collaboration.
Proving how talented these performers are, they switched it up often, playing each other's instruments, providing back up vocals to each other's songs and moved seamlessly from one tune to the next.
Reed, organizer of the show, expressed his appreciation to the artists and had this to say about his hometown, "I don't know where I would be in life without my friends and family."
He added, "Thank you for all of the support, Bay City. I hope you enjoyed the show as much as we enjoyed playing it."
It's a fair bet to say that the chemistry of these talented performers made for a show that already has us looking forward to them being 'Together Again'.
Chris Richards and Nick Piunti opened up the show with an amazing set featuring
great melodies, thoughtful lyrics and harmonies that were spot on.
