2nd Annual Wackerle City Singles Paddleball Championship Held at Bay YMCA

There was a great turn-out for the 2nd Annual Wackerle City Singles Paddleball Championship.
Four new Champions were crowned this year.
Tournament Director, Mike Wisniewski said he was "pleased with
the quality of play and the interest in the new division...Over the Line...not to be confused with over-the-hill!"
Over the Line is a game played to eleven and the ball must bounce past the second red line and not hit the back wall. This games requires patience, skill, and endurance.
The open Division came down to a close tie-breaker final where Bay City's Greg Keenan lost his bid to repeat as champion. Saginaw's
Andrew Price out-shot and out-dove Keenan 21-5, 18-21, 21-18 for the title. Adam Koehler took third place.

The A Division also ended in a tie-breaker with Bay City's Adam Lipinski tripping up Saginaw's Jim Price 17-21, 21-15, 21-13. |

The B Division ended with the third tie-breaker final of the day. Bay City's Brett "Hitman" Lewless out-slugged Thomas Bodary
15-21, 21-12, 11-9 in a marathon match. |

The C Division saw Bay City's Andrew Gallagher survive Saginaw's Natalie Gilbert's kill shots in two hard-fought games 21-16, 21-17. |

In the new Over the Line Division Bay City's Randy Wackerle (4-0) defeated Saginaw's Jim Price (3-1) in the finalmatch of the round - robin format. |
