The historic Scottish Rite Ballroom in Bay City, MI held the 5th annual fundraiser for the
Saginaw Bay Community Sailing Association, on Saturday, April 5th, 2014.
The popular event brought in supporters of the Association who came to enjoy wine and ale tasting, delicious food by Artigiano, music and an auction that boasted over 115 items.
President of the Association, Brian Donaldson remarked, "The evening has been fantastic and we love the Scottish Rite venue".
The event is held annually to offset the cost of the children's sailing program. Past President and Founder, Joe Parker said, "This is one of our biggest events. It allows children to participate and receive sailing instruction at a considerably reduced cost". He added, "Plus, we like this cool venue in Bay City!"
The gypsy jazz band
'Jim Pagel Trio' were on hand to provide the musical entertainment. Based out of the Great Lakes Bay Region, the band includes, Jim Pagel, Sean Drysdale and Todd Bethune. The trio recently opened for Robin Nolan at the State Theatre in Downtown Bay City and have many tour dates in the works. They are scheduled to be in Frankenmuth, September 10th, 2014.
