Miss Bay-Arenac Special Olympics 2014 Pageant Set for April 12

Support area contestants of all ages at the Miss Bay-Arenac Special Olympics Pageant set for 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at Bay City Central High School's auditorium.

Area 9 Special Olympics and the Miss Bay County Scholarship Program is organizing the second annual event with the goal of changing lives and the community's perceptions about intellectual disabilities. Through this pageant movement, people with intellectual disabilities are being embraced in society as opposed to being cast aside, organizers said.

The pageant will showcase 20 contestants competing in Interview, Lifestyle Modeling, On-Stage Question and Evening Gown.

Tickets are $6.00 and can be purchased at the door.
