Emcee Rod Adams Is Big Hit (Again)

Over 300 sports fans looked on as the Bay County Sports Hall of Fame inducted the class of 2002 last Saturday (Nevember 1, 2002) at the Grand Banquet & Conference Center in Hampton Township.

Emcee Rod Adams
hosted the evening celebration that included dinner, induction ceremonies and comments by each of the nine individual inductees as well as representatives from two selected teams.

Inductees included Doug Sharp, Matt Mieske, Rick Czap, John Engel, Joe Mikolajczak, Karl Newingham, John Northrup, J.W. Bill Schmidt, Eddie Knoblauch as well as the 1965 Bay City Central Football Team and the 1952 State Champion Northwest Little League team.



Scholarships totalling $3,000 we also distributed by the Hall of Fame Board of Directors to a student from each of the counties six high schools.
