(I've got bigger and better ideas.)

I'm sure - if you watch any Tiger baseball - that you've see the Taco Bell commercial where the really creepy young lady take the young man's burrito and wraps it in her own quesadilla (magically creating the new Taco Bell Quesarito) and then makes the guy disappear.

It's something like that . . .

Once I saw those two items combined, I really couldn't focus on the commercial anymore.

So . . . According to the Taco Bell web site . . . "The NEW Quesarito is the best of a quesadilla and burrito rolled into one! It's filled with seasoned beef, premium Latin rice, Chipotle sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, and then wrapped up in a grilled quesadilla loaded with melted cheeses."

You heard it right . . . They took a perfectly good Taco Bell burrito . . . (try to follow me now, reader) and wrapped it in a perfectly good, very cheesy Taco Bell quesadilla.

How cool is that?

I honestly had never even considered that. How could I have missed it? I've eaten both of those food products individually. What the heck!

I began immediately thinking of all the gourmet opportunities I've probably missed over the years . . . by not thinking to combine items.

Even though, at times I've considered myself an aficionado of fast food, I admit . . . I did not see this coming.

Maybe there were subtle indicators . . . like when Burger King introduced their "French Fry Burger."

When I first heard about the French Fry Burger, I remember thinking "HOW STUPID IS THAT? French fries are way too good by themselves. Why "waste the taste" by throwing it inside the bun with everything else?.

Then I gave the sandwich the benefit of the doubt . . . Today's Yuppie-Millennial types just don't have the time to dip their fries one or two at a time into ketchup. They gotta get back to the office or to the kids' soccer practice

670 Calories Each -- Wrap 'Em Up

Personally, I've always made time for the French fry.

We should all make time for the fry.

Seriously . . . Make time.

Sorry . . . I digress . . . All this "fat food" talk muddles my thinking patterns. And I really like fries and ketchup.

Now . . . Back to fast food combinations: After considerable spread sheet research, I think I might have to make two different drive-through stops to get the perfect lunch combo wrapped taste.

It's so obvious.

EUREKA!

VIOLA!

I know you're thinking the same as me . . .

BIG BUFORDS!

Wrapping JUST a burrito inside that quesadilla is just a waste of space.

I'm thinking outside the bun . . . (See what I did there?)

I KNOW I can get two Big Bufords wrapped up inside of one of the Taco Bell Quesadilla cheesy things.

Oh yeah . . . and be sure to toss a few RALLY fries on top just for good measure.

Taco Bell claims the Quesarito is ONLY 650 calories . . .

Wimps!

If you're wrapping a burrito in anything . . . YOU'RE CERTAINLY NOT COUNTING CALORIES!!

I can help you with the calorie tally in my Quesadilla-Big Buford Double Wrap (with fries).

460 T-Bell Cheese Quesadilla
670 each for the Buford #1
670 each for the Buford #2
---------
1,800 calories total . . .
+200 Let's add 200 for the fries . . .
---------
2,000 CALORIES (Now we got us a "Combo."

Only one decision to make . . . Where do I go first -- to Rally's or to Taco Bell?

See you in the drive-through lane on Monday for lunch.
