Bay City "Party Graw" Festival Debuts on Midland Street

July 2, 2014
By: Josh Sharrow

Beer, Bacon & Beads are the primary focus of a brand new event coming to The Great Lakes Bay Region. Bay City Party Graw Free Festival kicks off on July 31, August 1, 2 & 3, 2014

The Midland Street Historical Entertainment District in business owners are hosting this free event with no ticket sales! An event that will replace the ever popular Pig Gig weekend that has drawn thousands into our area. We hope to grow into an equally successful weekend for the Midland Street area and the City of Bay City. Much like the famous Cheeseburger in Caseville with its "Key West" theme, we hope to mirror our festival with a "Mardi Gras" theme.

The four-day event will feature a kick off parade on Midland Street Thursday, July 31st, starting at 5:30. The "Makin Bacon" Parade is for any one who wants to enter. The cost will be a $3.00 Party Graw Festival button per person. Every parade participant is encouraged to throw beads, candy, toys or coupons. Join the parade walking, riding bikes, golf carts, lawn mowers, trailers, motorcycles, cars. Bring your kids, your dog, your goat. Anything goes in the wacky masquerade Makin' Bacon Parade!

Each venue will be featuring special glazed bacon samples like honey pecan, cayenne pepper, maple, bourbon, apple cinnamon, chocolate, etc., along with many bacon specials on there menus. And each venue will be distributing beads and will also have special "Collector Theme Beads" for the festival crowd.

Many other events taking place throughout the festival . Contests, competitions, concerts, vendors.
