Tony Stewart at Auburn Tri City Motor Speedway

NASCAR had the weekend off racing.

NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart, was in the tri city area and looking for a little dirt track action on Friday night, July 18, 2014.

Tony Stewart raced in a sprint car and won a Friday night at race Tri-City Motor Speedway in Auburn, Mich.

According to SB Nation, "The victory was Stewart's first of any kind since breaking his leg in two places in a winged sprint car crash last August at Southern Iowa Speedway. The injury caused the three-time NASCAR champion to miss the final 15 Sprint Cup races of the season."

Social media was buzzing all night Friday concerning the appearance by Stewart.
