August 5, 2014
By: Diane Szczepanski

The 31st Annual 'National Night Out' Against Crime took place on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 from 5p-8p at 4 locations around the Bay County. The free yearly event is organized to encourage people to meet and mingle with neighbors, police officers and firefighters who serve their community.

Each location featured its own attractions and took place at Defoe Park, Maplewood Park, Bay County Farmer's Market and Bay County Child and Senior Center. Local businesses also helped out with the event and was hosted by the Bay City Public Safety Department and the city's Citizens District Councils.

MyBayCity.com reporters were on hand at events on both the East and West side of the river. Which was best? They were all great! But if you want to make your own comparison, check out the West Side article at this link.
