The Rotary Club of Bay City joined forces with Hidden Harvest, an agency in its 20th year helping to stamp out hunger by hosting a Community Food Drive which was held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 8am-5pm at the Pere Marquette Depot in Bay City, MI.

The Rotary Club, which is celebrating its centennial year, gives back to the community on a regular basis in honor of their motto, 'Service Above Self'. The food drive kicked off a series of events the club has planned for their centennial celebration.

The drive accepted non-perishable food items and monetary donations to help Hidden Harvest, an agency whose focus is on the issues of hunger and food waste in Bay, Midland and Saginaw. They work directly with area food donors and agencies that assist with hunger problems in our area.

Hidden Harvest provides nutritious, fresh and prepared foods to soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, after-school programs, senior sites, and other non-profit agencies serving residents in a wide range of the community.
