Thinking Out Loud
Roll With It

Come along inside...
We'll see if tea and buns can make the world a better place.

Wind In The Willows

I was in search of a bread product.

Something that could soak up the previous evening's sins and revive the old carbohydrate levels, which were severely depleted, if not altogether gone.

What does one do in a situation such as this, when their own handy dandy toaster and loaf of Wonder aren't available?

Well, they treat themselves to the Starbucks in the hotel they are staying at, of course.

Maybe yeast products have changed since my list foray into muffin world.

I had spotted a rather delicious looking cranberry-orange something or other, in the case, sitting suspiciously close to what looked like donuts. It was, however, lumped under the heading 'pastry', listed on the wall menu as a 'scone' and came in a bag marked 'croissant'.

Let's quit being so pretentious shall we and call a spade a spade?

It was CAKE.

And there's nothing wrong and everything right about having cake in the morning.

Cake, I mean case, closed.
