Recently Chef Andy Bacigalupo and Bay Area Career Center Students donated their time and talents to a Fundraiser for St. Mary of the Assumption Church held recently at Monitor Township Hall.

Bacigalupo and his students prepared Gourmet food for the full house of attendees.

The Mardi Gras themed fundraiser "Our House Needs A New Roof" included 1st place prize of $2,000.00 to John Conners. 2nd & 3rd Place Prizes of $500.00 and 10 prizes of $100.00

Also a Plasma Television was on raffle, winner was Tim Walli. According to Cindy Shaheen, Fundraiser Chair Person, the turn out was such a success it surpassed their projected goal. Shaheen said, "The amount of people we had offering to volunteer was overwhelming also."

The response of the public out side of Church members was also a special delight, including State Representative Charlie Brunner and his wife Judy and Tom and Nancy Hickner.

According to Shaheen this is one of a number of upcoming fundraisers to help raise funds to replace the roof of St. Marys located at 607 E. South Union Street in Bay City.

Shaheen also wanted to thank the office staff at St. Marys and Andy Bacigalupo and his class for the wonderful job they did on the dinner. Plans on upcoming fundraisers are already in progress including a golf outing, BBQ Cook-out.

This Alligator made by the Career students also went up for auction at the end of the night, one lucky person went home with this huge fellow
