Well we saw "A Quiet Place"
Holy Smokes!
I found it very intense.
There were jump scares, most I didn't see coming. There was blood, which was necessary. Yes, the parents made some stupid choices such as becoming pregnant. But all-in-all a very good storyline.
Well acted and well directed by John Krasinski. He plays the father and his real-life wife, Emily Blunt, plays the mother. Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds are the children.
Millicent is especially excellent. She really is deaf. It's very interesting that when the camera centers on one of the other family members you hear breathing and soft footsteps. When it centers on Millicent, there is silence.
The entire family communicates with sign language, with subtitles. It begins 89 days after the alien invasion. People must remain perfectly silent because the aliens are blind but their hearing is excellent.
I can't go much further without spoilers but I do want to say it is excellent and a must see if you are at into that genre.
So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
