Central knew they had their hands full as they took on once beaten Carman-Ainsworth Friday night. At the forefront was stopping QB Tyler Minor, a tough task. The Wolves competed strong throughout the game but after pulling within two points to start the fourth quarter, a 70 yard kickoff return and an 88 yard Minor run ended Central's upset hopes.

After stopping the Cavaliers by way of a fumble recovery on the Wolves 11, Central drove the field and registered the first score on a Dominic Zanotti 8 yard strike to Brett Tahash. With a failed extra point, Central led 6-0.

Carman-Ainsworth responded with a drive of their own. After running back Nate Williams carried the ball to the Central 27. Williams would finish off the drive with a touchdown from one yard out and with the kick, they were ahead 7-6.

Central came right back to retake the lead. After two key passes to Jordan Morley and Nathan Anthony, it was Zanotti's turn to put the ball in the end zone from one yard out and with the kick, Central held a 13-7 lead.

League leading runner, QB Tyler Minor peeled off a 41 yard gallop and just like that, the Cavaliers were back on top, 14-13.

Zanotti would then team up with Nathan Anthony to put Central on top going into half time. After a strike to Anthony put the Wolves at midfield, it was Zanotti finding Nathan Anthony in the back of the end zone for a touchdown and a 20-14 lead.

Minor and his Cavaliers went right back on top to start the second half. After a touchback, Minor burst through the Wolves line and scampered 65 yards to take the lead 21-20. Minor would increase the lead to 28-21 following a fourteen yard run near the end of the third quarter.

But the Wolves were ready to rally. A pass to Jordan Morley put them at midfield. Another pass to Tahash had them at the 23. Zanotti started the fourth quarter by finding Brenden Mulligan in the corner of the end zone pulling Central within two points. The Wolves were unsuccessful on their two point conversion attempt.

Then the dam broke. On the following kickoff, the Cavaliers' Logan Banister collect the kick and raced 70 yards for the touchdown. Minor then ran in the two point conversion and it was 36-26 Carmen-Ainsworth.

A bit of light appeared when Central recovered a fumble but was unable to score. Central later drove to the Cavaliers' six before turning the ball over on downs. Then Tyler Minor put an end to the game. The senior burst up the middle for an 88 yard touchdown run ending Central's comeback hopes at 43-26.
