Josh Sharrow, radio personality from Last Choice Country Radio,
welcomed the crowd and introduced the band

"THAT is how you have a party, ladies and gentleman!!", was just one of the sentiments expressed by Josh Sharrow, emcee of the first 'Red Solo Cup' party on Friday January 6th, 2011 at Bay City's-Bay Lanes Sabre room.

Sharrow and Shawn Doyle, radio personalities from Last Choice Country Radio (www.lastchoicecountryradio.com), who emceed the event in-between band sets, said they were pleased with the number of party goers that turned for the evening.

It was elbow to elbow from early on in the evening. The event, brought to you by Last Choice Country Radio, drew folks from all over Mid-Michigan.

The party, based on the popular Toby Kieth song, was sponsored by Thelen Auto Group, Bay Lanes, Lee Photography and 7-11 on Old Kawkawlin Rd, who provided the red cups.

Attendees could buy a Red Solo Cup at the door for a $1, then were able to enjoy drink specials offered by Bay Lanes for the rest of the night.

Proceeds from cups sold, were donated to the efforts of the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City. One Nerd Nation, a local group, volunteered at the door collecting donations and handing out cups. (For more info on this group check out www.onenerdnation.com)

Steve Armstrong and The 25 Cent Beer Band, a popular Michigan band who never disappoints the crowd, got people up and dancing from the first song on. It was evident all who attended had a great time.

Thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers who helped make this a successful event and in turn, a great contribution for the local rescue mission!
