The weather was cold and snowy, but it was a warm evening inside the Bay City Country Club for the 2nd premier wine tasting event 'The Grape Escape'.

Host, Jerry Crete, owner of Ideal Party Store welcomed guests to the popular event Friday, February 24th, 2012. Attendees were able to sample wines from a large selection of different varieties. Crete offered special prices to those purchasing that evening.

"We have a good turn-out for a bad weather night", Jerry remarked. He added, "We have wine distributors, employees of Ideal Party Store and volunteers here to make this night happen".

The evening also included a Founders Brewing Co. beer sampling table. Beth Hyucki, Craft and Import Specialist at Fabiano Brothers, Inc. said, "My work is my passion and my passion is my work".

She went on to say, "The beer sampling station provides an escape for those not here for the wine, but who still wanted to be part of the event".

Ideal Party Store, one of Mid-Michigan's largest wine and party supply stores since 1934, has 2 locations, 401 Salzburg Ave and 908 N Johnson St., in Bay City, MI.
