"Revenant: 1. A person who returns. 2. A person who returns in spirit after death." I saw the movie "The Revenant" last night. It is probably the absolute best movie I have ever seen that I doubt I will see a second time. It wasn't bad, it was just so incredibly intense. The acting was wonderful. Leonardo DiCaprio definitely deserves an Oscar. Tom Hardy was physically unrecognizable, but did an awesome job. The other supporting actors did a fine job also. The photography was so incredibly beautiful and breathtaking. Even the score was perfect for each scene. It went over schedule in production because of the weather conditions and the meticulousness of the director, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, who was so precise and careful in his directing that everything fit together like a glove. His last film"Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)", was an Oscar winner. This one should also be. The only complaint I have is I was cold the entire movie. Not that the theatre was cold but that the movie was so realistic I felt I was there. The movie is based on a true story. Of course there is poetic license taken with some of the facts but it seems to follow quite closely. A tracker/scout in the early 1800's Is terribly mauled by a grizzly. He is left for dead by a cruel member of his party. He's able to crawl out of the shallow grave and begin to seek revenge. Amazing movie. You will be very sorry if you miss it. So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn

I absolutely agree with your review of the movie " Revenant". Definitely one of the best I have ever seen. The story- the acting- the photography- the shear picture of nature at its hardest is great. Hats off to Leonardo- a real actor.
Agree? or Disagree?
