BAY CITY, Mich. - Bay Future, Inc., the countywide economic development organization responsible for business retention, attraction, and expansion efforts throughout Bay County, is pleased to announce the recent hire of Megan Manning, who will join the team as Economic Development Manager.

"I am excited to get started and make an impact on the community. Bay County is a great place to live and work and we want to make that possible for current and future residents by attracting businesses and retaining those with the potential to create new living wage jobs," said Manning.

Trevor Keyes, President & CEO, said Manning's hiring was the culmination of a multi-month process that saw 60 applications, and multiple rounds of interviews. Keyes said Manning's passion for the community, her education, work experience, and skill, made her a perfect fit for the role, the organization, and the community.

"We are very happy and excited to welcome Megan to the Bay Future, Inc. team. We had some fantastic applicants for this position, as it was a very competitive process. Manning has a portfolio of experiences that have equipped her with the skills necessary to make an impact in her new role. She started her career in retail leadership at Target and later transitioned into an Admissions Representative position at DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University.

She has been involved with young professional organizations in the Great Lakes Bay Region, such as the Midland MYPros, Saginaw Young Professional Organization, and Bay Area Energize. Through these involvements, she has had the opportunity to organize, promote, and execute both social and professional development events for young professionals in the region. Megan also served as a Midland Chamber Ambassador and is a graduate of the Leadership Midland Class of 2016.

Manning was born and raised in Bay City and is a graduate of All Saints Central High School. She received bachelors degrees from Saginaw Valley State University in Business Management and International Business and a Masters of Business Administration from Northwood University DeVos Graduate School.
