Damaira Jones Named Youth of the Year at Boys & Girls Club

Will Represent Great Lakes Bay Region in Toledo

Meet Damaira Jones, National Honor Society, an Honor Roll student on track to graduate in June 2015 from Bay City Central High School.

Throughout her high school years, Damaira participated in many extra-curricular activities including powder puff football, cheer leading and choir while still finding time to care for her grandparents, 3 year old niece, working part-time, and attending her Boys & Girls Clubs of the Great Lakes Bay Region. Damaira has been an active Club member for over 4 years and we are honored to have Damaira Jones as our Youth of the Year and to represent the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Damaira Jones will share her speech on her Club Experience, her Personal Brand and her Vision for America?s Youth.

After graduation, Damaira plans to become a Sonographer followed by a degree in teaching so she can continue to influence and be a mentor to younger Club members. Damaira is our Unsung hero and truly exemplifies her Club experience within our 5 Core Program Areas.

Best wishes to Damaira Jones as she competes for the State of Michigan Youth of the Year competition this weekend in Toledo.
