Bay City -- Join the Bay County Library System on Thursday, April 24 at 6:30 pm for a unique presentation about mud, miles, bloody feet, and 10,000 volts of electricity by Dion Mindykowski, a first-time competitor in Vermont's 2014 Winter Death Race.
The former Bay County Library System employee, who is currently the director of Tahquamenon Area Library in Newberry, Michigan, will recant his experience with this infamously dangerous endurance race, and explain the training and races he completed leading up to the event.
The Winter Death Race is a multi-day challenge that pushes competitors to the extreme as they use their wits and stamina to complete both physical and mental tasks. The distance competitors must travel is kept a secret until the race begins.

There is no charge to attend the presentation, which will be held in the Kantzler Community Room at Wirt Public Library, located at 500 Center Avenue in Bay City.
