Four More Weeks -- Wednesday Nights at 830pm
Karaoke singers are singing their hearts out.
Tables are filled with contestants and their fans.
Josh Sharrow is tossing "barbs" from the onstage podium at anyone and everyone that he can see.
Cash registers are ringing up sales of drinks and food orders.
And Michigan Idol Judges are listening carefully to performers, logging plus and minus numbers on official tally sheets after each song ended and then offering suggestions on how the singers might get better.
Just another Wednesday night at a Michigan Idol Karaoke Contest in Bay City.
This was week #6 and the ten-week competition is heading for the home stretch.
And there's a $500 cash prize waiting at the end of the competition.
There were eleven (11) contestants on hand Wednesday night and each took a swing at a musical home run in an effort to impress the contest's judges'
The judges for the night were
David Bernreuter of Steel Wheels fame,
Sarah Jane, formerly of Branded Heart and a previous Michigan Idol winner and music maven
Shawn Doyle of Disk Jockey and Last Choice Country Radio fame.
The contest continues for four (4) more weeks each Wednesday night at Castaways.
