[Whether it be enjoying a great band, art or partaking in one of Michigan's many summer festivals, there is certainly not a lack of places to go and events to attend in our area. Stay tuned weekly to mybaycity.com. Every Thursday, I'll give you my take on some fun things to do and where my travels might take me!]
So...what's on my agenda for this weekend?? Well, let's see...

I like 80's music, I like free concerts and I do like to be where the fun is. That means I will be in Wenonah Park in Downtown Bay City on Friday, July 27th, 2012 for
Rewind By The River. Featuring
THE MEGA 80's, the gates and beer tent open at 6:00pm. This event is always a great time!
Equally fun, is the
MUNGER POTATO FESTIVAL which opens Thursday, July 26 and runs through Sunday, Jul 29, 2012. You may find me there Thursday night, at the
Demolition Derby/Front Wheel Drive Figure 8 Derby which starts at 7:30 pm.
The Hipakritz play in the beer tent, which should make for a good night all around.
Also at the Potato Festival on Friday, you can catch
Steve Armstrong and The 25 Cent beer Band. On Saturday, the
Steel Wheels Band will be playing. Munger will finish out the festival on Sunday, with both
The Josh Ramses Band and
Laurie Middlebrook. Check out all their events at: www.mungerpotatofest.com.
Saturday sounds like a perfect night to go listen to
Double Jack at
Midland Street Pub located at 610 E. Midland St., Bay City, MI.
Double Jack takes the stage at 9:30 on Friday, 26 and Saturday, July 27.
The 16th annual
Nathan Weidner Foundation barbecue is Sunday, July 29, 2012. Located in Vet's Park in Bay City, MI, this event runs from 11am-6pm. If you have never attended, please check it out if you would like to help a great organization, have a heaping plate of delicious chicken and plentiful sides. Adults $10.00 and Children under 6 years of age are free.
Wherever YOU end up, make it a safe and relaxing weekend!
