I saw "Fist Fight" and I have to admit I laughed.
It's the last day of school and high jinx abound. Many can be recognized as normal by any high school teacher. Most are way over the top. A mild mannered English teacher, Mr. Campbell, played by Charlie Day, is the brunt of many of them. He can't seem to stand up for himself. There is another teacher, Mr. Strickland, who has real anger issues. He's played by Ice Cube. Campbell gets Strickland fired and is challenged to a fist fight by Strickland after school.
It's an "R" rated movie for a reason. The language is awful. The f-word is used like smurf language, you know, as verbs, nouns, adverbs and adjectives. A few of the situations are cringe worthy. But still, I laughed.
It was okay, but definitely not award material. It was the first movie Tracy Morgan has been in since his near fatal car accident. He did a good job and it was nice to see.
So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
