Women Drivers and Snow! UGH!

Everybody is reminded to take extra caution with the snow and ice-covered roads. But sometimes I wonder if being over-cautious may cause more traffic accidents, and maybe more road rage.

I can appreciate people taking more caution and driving slower. Recently, after the first real snow storm of the year, as I drove 50 miles an hour down Old Kawkawlin . . . . (Laff, just kidding) I felt my blood pressure rise as I toggled behind 'these maybe too cautious drivers.' And may I dare to say, most of them seem to be women. I always try to guess what type of driver is ahead of me before I get around them, and 9 times out of 10 I am right and it's a female driver, the other times, maybe elder drivers (bless their heart) :)

As I was about to come into the category of a road rage driver and lose my patience, I stopped at a street light, and I noticed two little kids, making snow angels in their yard, laughing and having fun.

As to which at this point, I felt my blood pressure drop immediately and felt a sense of relief and joy at the beauty of the snow and this time of year.

Although it may be a pain in the butt sometimes, it (snow) is another reminder of one of God's beauties of nature.

So I thought I would make a list of positive things about the snow and winter time.

  • 1. Snow Angels
  • 2. Sledding
  • 3. Snowmobiling
  • 4. Skiing
  • 5. Beautiful scenery, great opportunity for photographers
  • 6. Remembering the days of summer when you have the air conditioning on
  • 7. No Mosquitoes or such insects
  • 8. The crackling of a Fire in the fire place
  • 9. Appreciating your nice warm fuzzy robe
  • 10. Home-made Soups
  • 11. Hot tubs and Jacuzzis
  • 12. As of December 23rd, the days are getting longer

Ughhh x3 but I think the ignorers (made that word up) are worse ie. those who over drive the conditions. present commentors excepted.

I think it's spelled "Mosquitoes" (yes, I had to look it up).
Also, you mentioned that snow is a great time of year for photographers ~ you always have great photos with your articles; you should post a lovely winter photo!
