Ribbon cutting ceremony welcoming the new market was held Tuesday

A new Farmers Market has opened in Bay City and Tuesday the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting ceremony welcoming the market to the heart of Downtown!
The location of the market is the N. Water Street parking lot next to Studio 23. The Farmers Market is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 6:00p.m. and is serving up fresh veggies and succulent fruit through the end of October!
Present for the ceremony was Bay City Mayor, Charles Brunner, Sales & Marketing Director for the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Dorothy Dean and many ambassadors!
Many vendors show off their "goods" with pride Tuesday as they held their grand opening
With over one year of hard work and determination, the Downtown Management Board & Development Authority along with farmers, downtown residents, business owners and representatives from MSU Extension have brought the market to fruition.
If you have not already gotten your hanging baskets yet this year, be sure to check out the market first. As seen in this photo, huge hanging baskets can be found here for under $25!
Vendors come from all over the area to bring their freshness to Downtown Bay City!
With the growth of downtown over the last decade both, business and residential, it is believed that the market will be a "fruitful" success!
