The official Kick-off of summer in Bay City is always River Roar Weekend. Which was held this past weekend with the new sponsor being Dow Chemical.

Thousands fill Vets Park in Bay City during The Dow River Roar weekend 2008. The River Roar in Bay City always holds one of the best concerts of the year thanks to event organizer, Chad Cunningham. This year's headline band was Ratt with host DJ Dee Snider from "House of Hair" Formerly from band Twisted Sister with Special guest Jackyl.

Although we did not hear any Twisted Sister Tunes, Snider hosted and stepped into the spotlight with Jackyl and Ratt putting on a great show.

Not only did Snider step in, but almost got his hand cut off by participating in the famous 'chain saw' from Jackyl.

After Jackyl ended their performance on Saturday night, they headed off to Muskegon for a show the same night at 10:30 p.m. Jackyl holds the record for most shows in a year!
