On March 13, the widely-acclaimed and successful Tri City Buzz Television Show, hosted by O. J. Cunningham, finished off their first 20-week season.

The concept for TriCity Buzz Television was first formulated at a Tri City "Business After Hours" when Cunningham, and Charter Media representatives met to discuss business opportunities.

Cunningham said they were looking for some combination of Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, Jon Stuart's Daily Show and VH-1's Pop-Up Video. "We try to keep it light,"Cunningham said. "And we tried not to hurt ANYONE's feelings."

Charter made every effort to make our first 10-show season a success," Cunningham said. "I've got only the highest praise for George Lynch and his Charter Media Team," Cunningham added.

"We made 10 shows and our last day on the air will be Friday, March 13, 2009," said Executive Producer O. J. Cunningham. "Anybody that knows me well," Cunningham continued, "will appreciate the significance of the Friday the Thirteenth end date."

TriCityBuzz captured the hearts and fun side of viewers in the Tri City metropolitan area. Buzz TV went out of its way to sidestep "hard news" and instead focused on what was bright and positive about surrounding communities.

"We did what we set out to do," said Cunningham. "We gave the people an option, a slice of sunshine right smack-dab in the middle of all that network (news) doom and gloom." Featured segments during their 20-week broadcast cycle included the Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics at Haithco Park in Saginaw, the Pickle Ball at Midland Community Center, and Julie Munger-McCallum's "full-body tattoo."

All of these shows can be seen at TriCityBuzz.TV
Weekly favorites included "Street Buzz", "Flashback" with Dave Rogers, Music/Entertainment segments by Julie Munger-McCallum and the audience participation "Movie Quote of the Week.".

"The economics of the moment certainly played a part in our decision to put off the next 10-show (20 week) season until the Fall," Cunningham said. "It's always difficult to market a new concept, Cunningham said. "Even more difficult in an economy like the one we're experiencing."

I just wanted to say we will miss watching the Tri City Buzz show every Saturday morning and at our school in Bangor Twp in advisory on Fridays. I am so proud of my mom and Julie and OJ and Dave for working so hard on this show. Even though the show had my mom gone from home alot taping her segments, especially on the weekends, we know she was enjoying it and it made her happy and at her old age (she turns 41 March 18th) she needed something to make her feel good :)

We will all be excited when the show returns and Logan, Brushor and I will be excited to spend some time with her through the season break! Thans OJ for giving my mom something she really loves to do, working for you. She was never really happy when she had her own company, now she smiles alot and doesn't yell so much!

Sincerely,
Caleb Pijaszek

Thanks for the kind comment, as usual! We always appreciate your support!

Tri City Buzz Television will return as soon as we have a Main Show Sponsor "Tri City Buzz Television, brought to you by..." in place for Season III. Bidding is open through the end of next week...just in case this would be an opportunity SVSU would be interested in (smile)

Sincerely,
