The 2017 Focus on Life Annual Benefit Dinner sponsored by the Bay County Right to Life is scheduled for Tuesday, October 3rd at Lumber Barons in Bay City, MI 48706. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner and program begin at 6:30 p.m.

At the dinner, Author and Administrative Law Judge Lisa K. Gigliotti will give a powerful message about The Courage to Honor the End of Life. For more than twenty-five years Lisa has lived with severe rheumatoid arthritis and serious myasthenia gravis. Through thirteen major surgeries, Lisa has maintained a fulfilling and positive life. She has achieved successful careers as an administrative law judge, a policy advisor for the Michigan state senate and governor, an advocate for people with disabilities and for improving end-of-life care, and is dedicated to helping others lead more fulfilling lives.

In pursuit of encouraging others, Lisa has written four books that describe her Italian-American upbringing and how Coraggio-courage- is the key to overcoming adversity and to achieving any endeavor.

In The Courage to Honor the End of Life, Lisa discusses the fears and values society places on end-of-life, while encouraging the use of moral courage to value a person at the end of life; as an individual by caring for an ill person, or as a society by advocating for adequate pain management, hospice, psychological, and spiritual services.

Registration for the Focus on Life Annual Benefit Dinner is $35 per person or $280 per table of 8, reserved by September 26, 2017. To make reservations or for questions contact Lisa at 989-895-8481 or email baycountyrtl@gmail.com.

WSGW Radio personality, Charlie Rood, will emcee the evening and local saxophonist, singer, and songwriter, Dennis Gwizdala, will provide dinner music. Anyone unable to attend the event but wishing to make a donation may send a check made payable to BCRTL to Bay County Right to Life, P. O. Box 449, Bay City, MI 48707-0449.
