We saw "The Commuter" the other night. Very good movie. Suspenseful from beginning to end.

Liam Neeson is the lead as Michael MacCauley. At the beginning, you witness his boring daily commute from home to his insurance job in the city. Soon on the train a young woman, Joanna played by Vera Farmiga, invites herself to sit across from him.

You soon realize she knows a great deal more about Michael than she should. She proposes a "hypothetical" scenario where he helps get rid of someone on the train who doesn't belong there. The remainder of the plot will keep you guessing through the end. Additional actors do a good job of filling out the cast.

Sam Neil as an old co-worker and Patrick Wilson as his ex-partner on the police force. Jonathan Banks, Killian Scott, Andy Nyman, Clara Lago, and Ella-Rae Smith and interesting as his fellow commuters. Colin McFarlane and Adam Nagaitis are conductors.

It seems almost to be filmed in real time. His commute would last about the same length of time as the movie. The vast majority is filmed on the train. There are some excellent and intriguing camera angles. Reminded me a little of Hitchcock.

All-in-all a good movie. It keeps you "hooked" through the entire hour and 45 minutes.

So go. Have fun. Eat popcorn.
