Michigan Notable Author Keith Gave Coming to Wirt Library
Author of "The Russian Five..."
2019 Michigan Notable Book Author Keith Gave will pay a special visit to the Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library on Thursday, June 13 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm for an evening of first-rate storytelling, book signing, and Q&A time with guests. Gave, author of "The Russian Five: A Story of Espionage, Defection, Bribery and Courage", is visiting Wirt Library as part of the Library of Michigan's 2019 Michigan Notable Authors Tour.

Keith Gave spent six years in the United States Army as a Russian linguist working for the National Security Agency during the Cold War. Nothing could have better prepared him for a career as a sports writer covering hockey for
The Detroit Free Press. His 15 years with the newspaper were the highlight of a career spanning nearly 40 years in the news industry, which also includes 14 years as a college journalism instructor. Gave contributed as a writer/producer to the documentary film, "The Russian Five".
