In the next 24 months we will probably have to close two major universities or at least pull all their state funding. That means we either privatize the U of M and make it a non-stste supported institution, or we close say Western and Eastern, or Central and Northern Michigan, or pick two schools of your choice.

The shear lunacy of trying to statrt a new medical school in the fact of this challenge is hard to fathom. It brings a whole new expanded meaning to "living in an ivory tower." I am prompted to ask; What color is the air in the ivory tower they are living in?
