GUBERNATORIAL TOWN HALL MEETING TO BE HELD

The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce and Saginaw Valley State University will host a Gubernatorial Town Hall meeting. Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley, State Senator Patrick Colbeck, and Dr. Jim Hines are expected to attend.

The event will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Saginaw Valley State University, in Curtiss Hall, Seminar Rooms F & G. This free event is open to the public and no reservation is required. Doors open at 7:00p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as space is limited.

?Michigan will elect a new governor this year. This is an opportunity for our members and the public to hear the vision for our region from some of those running. The next governor will have an opportunity to build upon the Bay Area?s recent economic success.? said Ryan Tarrant, President & CEO of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce.

?One of the top priorities for the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce is to provide opportunities to hear from candidates who want to lead our county, region, and state. In the tradition of maintaining a strong relationship with the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Saginaw Valley State University, we are excited to partner and host these candidates for governor here in the Great Lakes Bay Region,? added Veronica Horn, Senior Director of Government Relations of the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce.

The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1882, is a private, non-profit business organization with nearly 800 members that provides programs to assist local businesses to grow and prosper. The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce joins area businesses and the community for the economic growth and well-being of the entire Bay Area.

Since 1863, the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce has been a leading advocate and champion for business. The Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit coalition of nearly 1,000 businesses from the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond.
