As Always My Family Begins The Summer At Our Parish Festival!

For my family, it's just not summer until the first weekend in June.

My little boy arrives in Michigan to reunite with his brothers for the summer. Little League begins for us and the smell of chicken cooking and music playing at Holy Trinity Annual Festival kicks off summer each and every year!

Living next door to the baseball field and around the corner from my parish, Holy Trinity, has been a blessing in my life. There is nothing more exciting to me than the first crack of a bat hitting a baseball over the fence or the smell of fresh cut grass after the lawn care company cuts the field while the church bells are ringing on a Sunday morning.

This year's festivities at Holy Trinity were no exception. Even though mother nature may not have been looking over our parish and hard economic times definitely played a part in the turnout, the festival once again, began our summer 2009 on a positive note!

Please enjoy the personal photos I took at the festival! Now, on to River Roar, Pig Gig and every fabulous festival in between -- Right here in beautiful Bay City!
