The Tall Ship Fleet Arrived In Bay City at Liberty Bridge at 1:54 pm, on Thursday afternoon.
Ships came through in groups of 3, with the second fleet coming through at approximately 2:24 pm.
Just as the last 4 ships came through at 3:24 pm, rain droplets scattered across the area. Warnings of high winds and hail were announced as people hurried to cover, but the storm passed by the area.
The magnificent Tall Ships are now lined at both sides of the Saginaw River in Downtown Bay City for the largest gathering of Tall Ships in the Great Lakes in four years.
Bay City is the only official host port in Michigan for the American Sail Training Association's Tall Ships fleet.
Bay City's award-winning Maritime festival, Tall Ship Celebration features three and a half days of family fun including hands-on craft activities for children, internationally-acclaimed Maritime musicians, interactive ship tours and so much more!
