Scotty McCreery, the American Idol Winner of 2011 will be the headlining performer for the Saturday show of the Labadie Pig Gig on August 4, 2012 in Bay City's Veteran's Memorial Park. The weekend event runs August 2nd - 5th and organizers are hoping to reach the $1,000,000 mark in funds raised for area charities.
Scotty McCreery's debut studio album, Clear as Day was released in October 2011 and was certified platinum in the United States . The album includes the top 20 country songs "I Love You This Big" and "The Trouble with Girls".
A special "two day" sale event will be held to give fans a fantastic opportunity to purchase Scotty McCreery tickets for an amazingly low price of just $15.00 per ticket. The special $15.00 tickets will only be available on Friday, June 1st & Saturday, June 2nd at both Labadie locations, (711 S. Euclid and 909 N. Euclid Ave , Bay City ) or online at labadieauto.com. The Labadie Pig Gig is celebrating its 20th Year Anniversary Celebration and has escalated the level of entertainment for this commemorative year. The Midwest Championship Rib Cook off features rib competitors from all over the country battling for the title of "Best in the Midwest". There will be 4 full nights of national entertainment (3 more days to be announced) as well as Pig Racing, The Charter family fun stage, children's activities, Covenant Healthcare Hospitality Tent, Coors Light Refreshment tent, Charitable fundraising booths, the Catholic Federal 5K Races and much more.
McCreery released his coronation single "I Love You This Big" immediately after winning the tenth season of American Idol. The song sold 171,404 units in its first week,[15] and was certified gold on August 25, 2011. Clear as Day was certified platinum with over 1 million units shipped.[43]
With McCreery's debut album Clear as Day reaching number one on the Billboard 200, he joins Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry (Daughtry) as the only Idol contestants to have a number one album.
