After securing their District title, the All Saints Cougars set their sights on the Frankfort Panthers and a Regional victory. In the rain and hail, these two championship teams battled to decide who would advance to the "Final Four", and who would hang up their jerseys for the 2008 season.

The ferocious Cougars defense tried to hold back the Panther's juggernaut offense but they were no match for the powerhouse high-scoring Panthers.

With an early offensive burst, the Panthers ran over the Cougars to score their first touchdown. Once on offense, the Cougars found themselves up against a tough Frankfort defense. It didn't take long and the Cougars were forced to turn the ball over on downs.

Back on offense, the Panthers quickly launched a series of hard-hitting offensive plays that resulted in another Frankfort touchdown.

Down by two touchdowns, the Cougars went back to work on offense but found themselves up against a fierce Panther defense and turned the ball over to Frankfort. The Panthers would end the quarter with the ball but were not able to score before the first quarter expired.

In the early minutes of the second quarter the Cougars managed to stop the Panther's offense, but it was a short-lived. The Cougars tried to shake-up things on offense, but the Panthers always seemed to be one step ahead of them and the Cougar offense stalled. The Panthers would regain possession of the ball, but time ran out before they were able to add to their first half 12-0 lead.

In the second half, the Cougars headed back out into the cold, hoping to muster a comeback. Nothing doing. The Cougars threw everything they had in their offensive arsenal at Frankfort but failed to come up with any points for their effort.

With the ball back in their possession, the Panthers' offensive came alive. The Cougars knew it was "do or die" but were unable to hold back the Panthers scoring machine as Frankfort added yet another score and tacked on a two-point conversion for a 20-0 lead.

With the score now at 20-0, the Cougars were back on offense, and for a brief moment, the Cougar fans saw a glimmer of hope. Quarterback #85 BJ Weaver connected on a big pass with #43 Mario Walker that resulted in a 51 yard touchdown. Brett Campbell #32 tacked on the extra point the Cougars finally had 7 points on the board. For a moment the Cougar's loyal fans thought perhaps a comeback was in the making.

For the rest of the third quarter the Cougars kept the Panthers off the scoreboard, but there was still one more quarter to go, and the Panthers started the final quarter on the All Saints' one yard line.

The Cougars battled hard and didn't hold back; but even their best efforts couldn't keep the Panthers out of the end zone. Frankfort tallied the "nail-in-the-coffin " touchdown to make the score 26-7.

Despite the daunting score, and the hail, the Cougars fought on but were, once again, unable to gain any yardage on their drive.

The Panthers regained possession and scored one last touchdown to seal the win. With the extra point tacked on, the Panthers walked away with a regional win over the Cougars 33-7.

Despite this hard-fought loss Coach Bisel said that his last season coaching was a "Great Season". The Cougars ended their 2008 season 8-4 and Coach Bisel said that his team is a "Great group of guys, and they made this 2008 campaign a memorable season".

The Cougars, with heads held high, walked away from the 2008 season with a District trophy, and many great memories. For those fans who love All Saints Football, this season will never be forgotten, nor will All Saints' fans forget those who proudly wore the uniform of the Cougar.
