A new gem in the Salzburg area offering craft beer and as many as 20 taps to choose from, is the recently opened 'Governor's Quarters' located at 1304 S. Wenona St., on Bay City's west side.

Formerly the DAV hall for years, the Owczarzak's purchased the hall in 2009 and most recently opened the former lounge on December 26th, 2013. They took great efforts to preserve the atmosphere of the club and boasts the original bar and many other items as well.

"It started as a hobby in November 2009", says owner Jeff Owczarzak. "Well, here we are now in 2013 with a state of the art tap system in the Governor's Quarters and a full option hall rental upstairs".

The Nordic Tap System is considered to be one of the best amongst craft beer drinkers and provides a crisp, clear taste to the beers being offered. "Also, keeping them meticulously cleaned will give the beer drinker the best taste possible and that's what we intend to do", remarked Jeff.

A kitchen is in progress and should be available in the upcoming weeks. Currently, guests can order from Craig Owczarzak's 'Mean Rooster Diner' just down the street and enjoy delivery to their table.

Hours may be adjusted as needed, but they are now open Tuesday thru Thursday from 4:30pm until 11:00pm and Friday and Saturday 4:30pm until Midnight.

From it's great beer selections, to it's friendly atmosphere, the Governor's Quarters really caters to their guests. Jeff added, "We don't want this to be just another bar, we want this to be an experience!"
