Magen Trask, President & CEO of Bay Future, Inc.

Bay Future, Inc. Board of Directors recently has announced the promotion of Magen Trask to President & CEO of the public-private non-profit economic development group responsible for retention, expansion and attraction of businesses in Bay County.

The announcement came this morning at the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Eye Opener Breakfast where Trask was the featured speaker.

Mike Seward, President and CEO of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Vice-Chairman of the board for Bay Future, Inc. said he was proud of the board's decision and to be able to make the announcement. "Magen is the motivating force behind Bay Future. We are full of excitement and unwavering confidence that she has the skills to catapult the organization forward in the coming years," he said.

Trask was elected during executive session at the monthly board meeting late last month said Seward.

To a rousing ovation Trask graciously accepted her new role, "I am grateful for this opportunity and want to thank the Board of Directors for their continued support in my ability and for their commitment to Bay Future, Inc.," said Trask.

Ann Lingle, Chairwoman for Bay Future said she was glad to see the board promote Trask from inside the organization. "I have been on the board since the organization's inception and have worked with Magen for a number of years. She is the right person for the job and we know that she has the skills to continue to do great things for Bay County and for the Great Lakes Bay Region," she said. Lingle also said Trask has held the positions of program coordinator, economic development specialist and vice president before becoming interim president in February.

Trask currently serves on the board of directors for Bay Regional Medical Foundation, Bay Area Family Y, State Theatre, Do-All, Inc., and Bay City Morning Rotary. She has her BBA and MBA from Northwood University in Business Administration.
