Mike Batcke of Stealthcraft Boats is planning a party.

"To launch our new production facility and to get some good juju on the driftboats and pontoons for the upcoming fall fishing season," Batcke said in a press release, "We've decided to put together a Blessing of the Boats at our Stealthcraft Headquarters in Baldwin, Michigan.

The event is scheduled for Saturday July 28 in Baldwin, MI.

The blessing will be by Father Joe, who handles the Blessing of the Bikes and will take place at 10:00am on the Stealthcraft grounds or may be moved to the airport depending on what the turnout is.

Batcke says that a river cleanup will follow on the Manistee River starting at the Tippy Dam access down to High Bridge. "Depending on the turnout," Batcke said, "we may divide and conquer other sections as well." Photos, meet & greet will be at the Tippy launch @ 12 noon. Following your time on the water, food & entertainment at Stealthcraft Headquarters will begin @ 6:00pm.

Batcke's Baldwin Creek Lodge is nestled in the heart of trout country just a stones throw from the Baldwin River and a 5-minute drive from the famed Pere Marquette River.

Please RSVP to blessing@stealthcraftboats.com

ALL MAKES AND MODELS OF BOATS ARE WELCOME. (but you really should check out a Stealthcraft while you're up *wink wink nudge nudge*). If you don't have a boat and are interested in taking part in this event, send us an email and we'll see if anyone has an empty seat or two in a boat. Boat owners, if you have an empty seat and are willing to carry a guest, please let us know when you RSVP. Batcke says they are looking for people from all over. "We are working on getting a few of our vendors to come and share their wares also," Batcke said. If you are a vendor interested in coming up, send an email to the address above and Stealthcraft will see if they can work you into the mix.

"Come on up for the weekend! We'd love to see you there," Batcke went on.

The Pere Marquette is a 5-minute drive from Stealthcraft if you wanted to float it on Friday or Sunday. If you plan on attending, call ahead to reserve your room.

Also Stealthcraft Boats is now on Facebook! "Click to 'like' our page," Batcke said. "We update it often with photos of new boats and events around Stealthcraft so you can keep up-to-date with us!"
