Stevens' Cycle Sales is always looking to "Go the Extra Mile" for their friends and customers.
So, Deb and Bill Stevens organized a Blessing of the Bikes with the Pastor of their church -- Pastor Mark Haines of Bay City Wesleyan Church for their final Bike Night party of 2012.
"This is my very first Blessing of the Bikes," Pastor Haines said. "The idea is being really well-received by everybody here."
The weather was anything but cooperative but bikers in attendance were quick to stand in the bluster wind . . . next to their "ride" and receive the blessing of Pastor Haines in the parking lot at Stevens' Cycle Sales just North of Bay City on M-13.
Good food, beer, wine and music supplied by LastChoiceCountry Radio (Josh & Shawn) made it an enjoyable night for everyone in attendance, "This is our last Bike Night party before the busy summer," said Debbie Stevens. "We wanted to do something special for our customers." . . . A "Blessing of the Bikes" event seemed like a good fit.
"We're very happy with the turn out and the response," Debbie Stevens said. "We're getting compliments from everybody."
