MEET The 25 cent Beer Band:
Dave Lone: Drums First began playing drums in his hometown of Louisville KY. He then moved to Houston Texas and after several years made his way to Auburn, MI. Dave plays a local circuit with the 25 Cent Beer Band with a background in classic Rock N Roll
Steven Hornak: Lead Guitar/Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
Grew up in Bay City, MI and caught the 'Music Bug' at a very young age after hearing Elvis Presley and of course after seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show.
Steve has always been a member of a band since starting High School at Bay City Central after graduating in 1071 he started playing at many area night clubs in Rock & Roll cover bands. Before long he went on the road with several different bands based in the Tri-City area including, Video, Rhapsody, Couture, Swank, and others. These bands played up and down the East Coast, the Midwest and even in Canada.
In 1980 Steve moved to Kalamazoo, MI and was a member of several bands, two of which were Country bands. Trigger and Swiftkik. He has always liked Country music especially Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and the great Lester Road Hog Moran and the Cadillac Cowboy's.
Steve then move back to Bay City in 2002, and joined a local group Housekatz and then was asked to join the 25 Cent Beer band in 2008, the rest they say is history.

Soundman for close to 20 years, mixed back in the 90's, the bands Wet Cement, Jitters & Shovel, & many others during a 2 year employment with Hyperman productions (late 90's). Played guitar, bass & drums for over 25 years in various local cover & original bands.
Steve Armstrong:
Armstrong has it in spades, seducing his audiences with a strong, versatile voice and uncommonly charismatic performances Weaned on country music and All-American, blue-collar family values in a small Michigan town, Armstrong, 34, said he's enjoyed music and singing as far back as his memory will take him. But he fell in love with country music watching his parents square-dancing and becoming mesmerized by callers. He's been kick around with various bands for the last 10 years, most recently fronting 25 Cent Beer Band, a Bay City, Michigan band with a great name and a better sound. And everything he does on stage is purely instinctive. He's never had an ounce of formal training.
With a guitar in his hands and wired for sound, Armstrong feels it. So do those who watch him. When he sings, he simultaneously flashes a smile and makes eye contact. "He held the big stage like he owned it," Cunningham said. "Not everybody can do that. Some have to learn it or fake it."
Armstrong says it seems to com naturally for him. "It's not something I do consciously at all," he said. "The songs I pick when I do a gig are songs that I like, and I like them because they make me feel certain things." What happens is you start singing the song and you kind of get wrapped up in it. It's not that I'm trying to sell it to anybody else. I'm just into that song. And If somebody else happens to join me in getting into it, well, that' cool."
An artist who draws frequent comparisons to Kenny Chesney (in appearance) and Garth Brooks (in performance), Armstrong counts among his strongest influence John Conlee, Ronnie Milsap, Johnny Cash, George Strait and Merle Haggard. He's especially partial to Conlee. His favorite songs to perform include 'The Chair,' by Strait, and 'Old Red,' by Blake Shelton.
